SPORTKU.COM - This is the Black Falcon, the third work of total initial concept work ten Falcon Motorcycle.

As with its predecessor model, the Bullet and Kestrel, Black Falcon trying to blur the boundaries between motorcycles, industrial design and artwork.

Under the supervision of Ian Barry, a team of six people, spent a full year to complete the artwork ni. If you have not guessed, this work is based on previous projects, namely "Vincent Black Shadow", a two-wheeled vehicle works Motorcyle Falcon who holds the title of "World's Fastest Standard Motorcycle" for more than 25 years.

The all-terrain bike will also have a unique feature that allows drivers to take off its signature tires and replace them with a snowmobile drive kit. According to Student News IE, the kit includes ski pads for the front and rear for optimum transport over ice, snow and slush. Other options for motorcycle accessories include a sidecar, generator and winch set, and a tow bar.

While Brutus is currently a concept bike, the market version is scheduled to be released next spring. If all goes well, motorcycle enthusiasts may soon have another unique bike to add to their collection.

In a press release, Jay Ridley (son of Ridley Motorcycle Co. founder Clay Ridley) announced that his company 2 Wheel Ventures has acquired the intellectual property and some remaining tangible assets of the Ridley Motorcycle Company, the brand of fully automatic street/cruiser motorcycles.

Financially exhausted by poor sales and by defending during several years a very costly lawsuit filed by Harley-Davidson (Ridley lost the right to use the Auto-Glide name), on December 29, 09 Ridley filed a voluntarily petition under Chapter 11 of the US Bankruptcy Code.

Initially, 2-Wheel Venture was created in 2007 to market Ridley’s apparel and accessories, then in 2009 parts and providing owners with CPO’s (certified pre-owned Ridleys). Jay Ridley states that 2 Wheel Ventures will service and support the thousands of Ridley motorcycles already on the road and that if the market conditions improve the company could restart production of Ridley motorcycles. The question that many Ridley owners and former dealers are going now to ask is if 2 Wheel Ventures will honor their warranty. 2-Wheel Ventures.

If you’ve never heard of the Villa V4, it’s not surprising: this racing motorcycle never turned a wheel in anger. The lovely machine here is an immaculate replica of Francesco Villa’s planned 1969 GP racer—a bike that was killed overnight by an FIM edict limiting 250cc bikes to two cylinders. This example was built in 2008 by one of Villa’s former employees, and uses many original components. I wonder if you could get similar delicious looks with a modern-day SR400 custom, for a slightly lower price

The basic twin shock swinging arm design was the most popular system for over three decades until it was overtaken by the more advanced link-type system in the 1980s. It features a pivot mounted behind the engine, with a pair of arms running either side of the rear wheel, and shock absorbers are mounted to each side of the swinging arm.

Commonly referred to as a ‘twin-shock’ design, this proven system has been used by motorcycle manufacturers for around fifty years, and the fact that the twin shock layout has been used for such a long period of time underlines its excellent design.

We don't only supply spares. A fully equiped workshop is always busy with repairs, servicing, restoration, engine and gearbox overhauls, wheel building, bead blasting and polishing and more.         As a rule we try and source our spares from British manufacturers if at all possible and aim to provide a choice between genuine parts and good quality pattern parts. I am not in the game of breaking bikes purely to sell their parts as I believe in the preservation of our classic motorcycles, not the destruction of them.  As there is an abundance of second hand parts and more new good quality spares than ever, why destroy a perfectly good machine? We ride our classics regularly (my regular hack is my 1939 Triumph 100 and my partner Ann rides a 1966 Tiger 100SS) and we enjoy taking an active part in the classic scene. My passion for motorcycles is not confined to the machines of past years - I ride the new Triumph Explorer and I take a keen interest in what the British Motorcyle Industry is generating.

Decent models of classic motorcycles seem to be harder to find these days. So it was refreshing to stumble across Starline Models, a German company based in Nürnberg that produces a tempting range of vintage Moto Guzzi miniatures, plus an MV Agusta 750 S and Laverda 1000 thrown in for good measure. The bike in the picture is the legendary Moto Guzzi 8 Cilindri racer; Starline also has a good selection of classic automobile models available, including the very uncommon Stanguellini 1100 Sport.

The Royal Enfield Classic 500 packs all new technologies that maximize the amount of time spent riding instead of the bike being worked on in the shop.   The bike is powered by a 500 cc fuel injected 4-stroke single-cylinder engine that’s air cooled.  The engine produces only 27.2 bhp at 5,250 rpm and 30.46 pound-feet (41.3 Nm) of torque.  The power is miniscule compared to vehicles we normally cover here at First SuperCars but this motorcycle is not meant to break any speed records, still, it can reach a respectable 80 mph top speed.

Military versions of the bike, like this one owned by David Uhl, previously on display in the Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum at AMA headquarters in Pickerington, Ohio, shared the same three-speed transmission, rear-only brake and leaf-spring front fork as the civilian model. But they also sported rear suspension, a simpler gas headlight instead of electric and functional flat fenders instead of curved versions.
